I'm packed and ready to go on my next adventure. This is a Canon Live Learning Destination Workshop staged from Gatlinburg, TN.
Waterfalls, Mountains and Wildlife in the Great Smokies with a home base at a Hilton Garden Inn~ I've been exercising using my 'rough it' routine to get ready for the difficult accommodations (I hope they have the big fight on in the rooms Saturday night).
Anyway, I have about a 7 hour drive tomorrow, some of which promises to be in the rain. I'll do the iPhone blog thing, but I might sneak in some real photos if the weather gives me some poses. I'm not due in Tennessee until 7 tomorrow evening, so I'll have some time for photo stops!
Watch for more posts as the trips progresses and feel free to chime in!
The trip went well with no issues. Plenty of sights along the way, including a stop at a very interesting William King, Museum of Art., in Abingdon, Va. Among the Galleries were a number of artist's studios. I had opportunity to meet briefly with one of the resident artists, Tracy Ference, who does portraits and still life in oil, charcoal, pastel and graphite. You can find her on the web at www.tracyference.com.
Here are some shots from the day...
